Recently I was running low on my Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer that use every day, so I decided to give the Tatcha Water Cream a try since I have been hearing such great things about it. When I buy skin care products I tend to purchase things that are made for sensitive skin since so many things tend to clog my pore and break me out. I also need something that is hydrating but doesn’t make my skin feel greasy or oily. Luckily for you guys I love buying out and trying new products so I can tell you my thoughts before you go and purchase it. Here is my Tatcha water cream review.

My Thoughts
It does exactly what it says and is super light weight. It is much thinner than other gel moisturizers. Instead of sitting on top of my skin like many feel like they do, it actually just melts into your skin. It feels more like water then like gel, and isn’t even a little bit sticky.
It is also very moisturizing. I was worried my skin would feel dry after it soaked into my skin but it still feels hydrated even at the end of the day, and when I wake up in the morning. It also wears great under makeup and my foundation glides right on when I apply it. I notice sometimes that if a use moisturizer that isn’t hydrating enough, as my skin gets dry throughout the day, my foundation and bronzer get patchy looking. This does not happen when I use this moisturizer at all which is great.
It is the end of summer so we will have to see if it is just as hydrating in the dry, freezing winter. I will say if you tend to have extremely dry skin then you may need something a little more moisturizing. My skin only typically gets a bit dry in the winter time so this works very well for me. My skin tends to be sensitive and this did not bother it at all. In fact it feels very calming when applied. It also has a very light scent and isn’t overwhelming. It comes with a spatula too for sanitary purposes so you don’t have to dip your fingers into the jar.
I have been using it for a couple weeks now and do notice a different in the clarity of my skin and in my pores. I also feel like it is great for combination skin. It is on the pricey side at $68 but so far I am very pleased and think it is money well spent. I think it is super important to invest in your skin care. By starting young and using quality products you are setting yourself up to really age gracefully and stop the signs of aging before they even start. Tatcha Water Cream is a great moisturizer.
