How I Trained My Hair

Today I wanted to share with you how I trained my hair and went from washing it every other day to just twice a week.  I use to wash my hair every other day and even by day 2 it was greasy. After having my kids there was definitely no time for that, the washing, blow drying, and styling is just too time consuming.

I decided I only wanted to wash it twice a week and chose Monday and Friday mornings as my days.  It took some time and wasn’t easy but I pushed through and didn’t cave in washing it any sooner.  After a good month or two I noticed a big difference, my hair suddenly wasn’t getting as oily as it use to.

There are a couple things that I noticed that I do that I think really help:

-I only wash and dry in the mornings, if I do it at night it just does not come out the same.

-MOST IMPORTANTLY On the nights of day 2 and day 3 I use dry shampoo (this one is my favorite) but at night before bed.  I spray just the roots, brush, and put in a top knot to sleep.  I secure with an Invisibobble so I don’t get creases.  This allows the dry shampoo to absorb all of the oil while you sleep.  When I wake and take my hair down I  have perfectly tousled tresses.

-When there is a day 4 it honesty is usually not the greatest so I will do a braid or ponytail.  If it really needs some help I will quickly dampen the roots and run a heated brush through it.

However, hair training does not work for everyone. If your hair is already thinning because of chemicals in shampoos and other hair products, you can try platelet-rich plasma hair restoration.

I hope that this helps you save some time!
