I typically pride myself on being healthy. I eat good and work out regularly. When COVID hit in March, I found myself losing weight from being so busy juggling work and being home with the kids 24/7. However, something happened in the beginning of the summer and I just didn’t think about anything. I got comfortable and ate mindlessly.
Fast forward a good 4 months later and I find myself 8 lbs heavier than I usually am and more importantly, feeling like shit. I realized what it was, and what it is for so many of us, I wasn’t taking care of myself during the pandemic. So I decided now is the time to take control back of my habits and my body. So here is what I am doing to get myself feeling like me again.
Taking Care of Myself During the Pandemic
- Today, I began a 3 day juice cleanse, yes that’s right, no food for 3 days. I am doing it for a few reasons. For one, I know I eat out of habit, I eat when I am not even hungry. I need to break this cycle and I think this will help since I can not eat any food. I also feel so bloated and know the juices will help with that. And lastly, my diet has been so poor and I have seriously lacked in consuming fruits and veggies. This will give my body the nutrients it desperately needs. I also haven’t been feeling great physically or mentally so I know that I have a lot of inflammation that has been causing lack of energy, body pain, and a mental fog. I feel like this will help with the inflammation and make me feel better overall and help with my mental clarity. It is always a great jumpstart to eating right too. - Up my water intake. I use to pride myself on my water consumption and now it is awful. I am trying to be more mindful and drink almost a gallon a day like I need. My skin even is starting to feel dry from the lack of hydration.
- I need to workout more. I work out 3 times a week for 30 minutes which is great but I need to up it to 5-6 times a week. Even if it is just 20 minutes in my living room while the kids play. I use to do this all the time and I need to get back on my game.
- Over the summer I shared a cellulite regimen that works SOOO good. The problem is I haven’t done it in 2 months! We have to do it for it to work lol So today I am beginning it again.
- I need to take my supplements regularly. I have talked about these supplements that I really believe in on my Instagram a ton of times before. They work SOOOO well. If I am going to be honest I am now the best at taking them every single day and you need to take things properly in order for them to work. I have a fresh shipment coming in today so it is the perfect time to get back on the wagon.
