Physical: Exercise

Exercising is good not only for your body but for your mind. Rather is be yoga, cardio, or lifting weights, we all have something that we enjoy doing. When I wake up early and squeeze in a workout before the boys wake up I always have more energy throughout the day. I also love working out with a personal trainer or friends because it is like having some girl time while I workout. You can read a bit about what I do to keep in shape here.

Finding the time to workout can be challenging when you have kids, but maybe it is as simple as going for a walk on your lunch break, or taking your dog for a walk after you drop the kids off at school. The bottom line is, if you exercise you will not only benefit by getting in shape, but it will also do wonders for your mental health.

I also feel that it is important to invest in your overall health. Feed your body well and get enough sleep. It can be hard to again find the time, but by taking better care of yourself you will be able to better take care of others.

Social: Have A Girls Night or Date Night

Setting up time to have a night out with your friends or a date night with your husband is so important. I am the type of person who likes to work or relax after the boys go to bed and sometimes dread going out. However once I am there I always have so much fun and am so glad I did. It is nice to just talk and feed yourself without any added pressures. It is also always a huge mood booster to dress up. So maybe it is meeting up and connecting with a mom friend for coffee. Taking time to socialize is so important and always has a way of making us feel like ourselves again and not just moms. What is better then having a glass of wind and chatting with your friend or husband and actually getting to finish your sentence? lol

I personally love to take a bath every single night when the boys go to bed. I put on a face mask, use bath salts, unwind and just scroll through social media. After I do my nightly skincare regimen.
