Easy Easter Basket Ideas

Wasn’t it just Christmas? I feel like we skipped a few months because I can not believe Easter is here in just over 2 weeks already. I try to get the boy’s Easter baskets ready a couple of weeks ahead of time so I don’t have to rush around to pick stuff up. We usually head to New Jersey to spend Easter with my family so it is going to become challenging to hide them in the car as they get older. I also feel like holiday stuff tends to sell out so fast lately so I always like to get a jumpstart!

When it comes to their Easter baskets I try to keep it simple. They have so much stuff and so many toys I really don’t want to add to the clutter. I try to give them stuff that they will use and things to play with outside since spring and summer are just around the corner although for kids with special needs is better to get a sensory room installation so they can play safely and comfortably. Here are some easy Easter Basket ideas.

I think it is easiest to come up with a cute and creative Easter Basket if you come up with a theme. Whether it be summer like me or their favorite things (think Paw Patrol or dinosaurs). Summer stuff is perfect for us since we usually run out of all of the fun stuff they play with outside by the end of last season. Also the weather usually just begins to break for us here in Connecticut right around Easter. That means we will be able to get back outside daily soon.

I like to fill their baskets with things that they can play with and keep them busy. I usually do sidewalk chalk, bubbles, water squirters, summer pajamas, swimsuits, and sandals. We have a pool so we spend every single afternoon outside once it warms up, weather permitting. I also do a cute Easter book, a small toy, and of course some candy . I found them the cutest summer pajamas that have red, white, and blue popsicles on them too they just have not arrived yet. Some other fun ideas include sunglasses, a watering can, and coloring books.

I also absolutely love these Easter baskets from Pottery Barn. I bought them when they were babies and they hold up perfectly year after year. You can choose from different liners for them too. I really like how you can personalize them with their names. I am linking everything below for you to shop too. What do you like to put in your kid’s Easter baskets?
