I have always loved decorating for the seasons, and summer is no different. MacKenzie Childs is one of my favorite brands because they have such gorgeous pieces that are different and really stand out. I used to save all of my ‘good’ stuff for special occasions, but as you get older you realize everyday is worth celebrating. Here is my summer tablescape with MacKenzie Childs.

First of all, I will say that I can easily keep my dining room table decorated because we rarely use it. You can read about my dining room, which I redid completely last year, and get all of the details right here.
Red, white and blue screams summer. but I never thought to add pops of it inside my house until now. The MacKenzie Child royal check is perfect to help pull off this look, too. The pieces are perfect all year round, but adding a little red definitely helps change it up a bit. I love investing in serveware that is practical and gets used a lot, like the pitcher and bowl you see above.
I like to keep my dining room table decorated for aesthetic purposes. It is such a time saver too, because when we have company over outside on our patio, I can easily move the pieces right outside. The white dish set is actually melamine. They are absolutely gorgeous and I just love the ruffle detailing as well as the beaded edges. I purchased them from Wayfair. The pitcher obviously has tons of uses, as does the bowl. Sometimes I make a huge fruit salad in it, or even throw some snacks in there to bring out when the boys have friends over.
