I have said it before and I will say it again, I love summer fashion. Something I always dream of is moving to a place that I can wear summer clothes year round. I just love all of the bright colors and beautiful prints. But since that won’t happen anytime soon, I try to squeeze in as many cute outfits during Connecticut short summer as I can. Here are my five favorite outfits for summer.

This dress was more of splurge but my gosh is it gorgeous. The colors and print are stunning. It is also super flattering on too because it is smocked in the middle and tired towards the bottom. I also love the sheer and slightly puffed sleeves. Definitely one of my all time favorite dresses.

I love an open back top for the summer. This one is cropped but pairs perfectly with a pair of high waisted pants or shorts. This top is under $30 and comes in 11 colors too! I paired it with my favorite pair of $15 dollar shorts.

Ok this is dress is tied as a favorite with the first one I shared. This just screams summer! It has one shoulder with an open back that has a great ruffle detailing going across the back. It is just so much fun and I love the fit of it. I usually wear a small in almost everything but went with an extra small because the top was too loose on the small.

I honestly never thought an exercise dress was something that I needed in my closet but I have been living in it. My days can get busy but I do like to squeeze in a walk or workout when I can.
Wearing an active dress has been great because I look put together and ‘dressed’ but since there are shorts underneath I can exercise without worrying about the dress riding up. They have so many cute colors and prints too. I just ordered the black which I think will look great in the fall paired with a denim jacket.

One of my favorite things to do is mix high and low fashion. These are my $15 dollar shorts again mixed with a floral crop top from Revolve that is $123. I paired the outfit with Chanel shoes and tote. I love investing in timeless designer pieces that I will wear year after year.
