Night Time Skin Care Routine

The older I get the more I realize how important it is to take care of my skin. My skin care goals are always to brighten, clarify, and combat wrinkles with anti-aging products. I am going to take you step by step through my entire night time skin care routine. The products I use vary literally by the day (I love trying out new beauty products). However the process remains the same. I also saved a video of the entire process on my Instagram highlights. I do the below twice a week, and then everything else minus the steaming and mask nightly.

Night Time Skin Care Routine

  1. The first thing I do is remove my makeup from my skin with a makeup removing wipe.
  2. I then use an exfoliating peel pad to exfoliate to remove any dead skin cells.
  3. Then I apply a mask. The type of mask I use depends on the current needs of my skin. I like this one to brighten/exfoliate and this one to clean out my pores. I also use this peel about once a week.
  4. Then I leave the mask on while I take a bath. I literally take bath almost every night after I put the kids to bed. Before I finish I wash off the mask and my eye makeup. The Purity cleanser is my absolute favorite for removing makeup and it does not dry out your skin.
  5. Next I use a facial steamer for about 5 minutes. This helps to open up my pores and allow the products I am about to apply really sink into my skin helping them to work better. I always wash my face again after steaming so any dirt that was in my pores isn’t laying on my skin all night.
  6. Then apply a wrinkle fighting eye cream (or one of these eye masks) and my eyelash serum. I also use this lip mask on my lips, it is definitely holy grail and super hydrating.
  7. Next I apply an anti-aging serum. I rotate between glycolic acid, retinol, and lactic acid. Some tend to be drying so I try to not use the same thing two nights in a row.
  8. Then I apply my moisturizer and a facial oil. The oil really helps lock in moisture and keep my skin hydrated throughout the night.
  9. Finally (twice a week) I apply a self tanner made just for my face. This helps add just a tint of color to my skin. I have been using this one for 10 years now and love it!

Again I am always rotating the products I use but here are some of my current favorites.

Cleansers and Steamers

Peel Pad, Face Tanner, Lip Mask

Eye Cream

Masks/Peels

Retinols, Glycolic Acids, Lactic Acids
