Every fall and winter my most worn item by far are my faux leather leggings. They look so chic and dressier compared to ordinary leggings but they are still just as comfortable. Last year especially they got worn ALL of the time because I hardly wore jeans. They are just perfect to wear when you are chasing kids, running errands, even running to the office and to work out. They can be dressed up to go to dinner, or down for a casual everyday style. I always say that they are definitely a staple worth investing in.
I have worn my Spanx for years and years but have seen the Commando more lately and since they have just as good reviews I had to give them a try. So I wanted to do a Spanx Vs Commando: Faux Leather Legging Comparison and Review and review for you and give you my thoughts on both.

Look
In the picture above I am wearing the Commando on the left and the Spanx on the right. The Commando have more of a real leather look and are shinier. In my opinion that look more like a pant and are a bit dressier then the Spanx. The Commando I am much more likely to dress up to wear to dinner and the Spanx I will save for the day time. Both look amazing on. They slim your legs and lift your butt.
Comfort
The Spanx are definitely more comfortable however I do not think the Commando are uncomfortable. The Spanx. have an insane amount of stretch to them and are as comfortable as any other legging out there. The Commando stretch much less and are thicker. Put it this way. I often workout in my Spanx leggings and then throw on a tunic and head into my office. I could never do that with the Commando.
Fit
I wear a small in both. Again the Spanx stretch a ton so be warned when you try the Commando for the first time. I didn’t think I would even get them past my knees lol But I went with it and got them on and once on they fit perfect. Now they go on much easier. Just an FYI if you are use to the Spanx and trying the Commando for the first time.
Care
I wash both inside out on delicate with cold water and lay flat to dry.
Final Verdict
I love them both and highly recommend them both! The Spanx are more of a daytime casual legging for me and I pair with sweaters and sneakers. The Commando I go for when I want to get a bit more dressed up and can even where with heels if I really wanted to. They are both flattering, the same price, easy to care for, and both make your legs and booty look amazing!
