I am so excited to finally be decorating for the Fall season! Fall is one of my favorite times of year. The weather here is gorgeous, the changing colors are so pretty, and all the fall decor? That’s just icing on the cake! There is something about having fall decor around, and the scent of my favorite fall candles burning that just has a way of helping me shake off those end-of-summer blues. I’ve been so eager to share my fall home decor tour with you all. I’m sharing all my favorite decor items, and how I set everything out in my house. Hopefully this gives you some inspiration for decorating your homes this season! Here is a look at my fall decor home tour.
My Fall Decor
My front porch is always the first thing that I decorate, it is also my favorite thing to decorate. I’m so glad the porch builders I hired kept the design of the porch simple so it’s not difficult to decorate it. This time of year I use lots of mums and pumpkins. But I also love to add a fun doormat and some black and white for contrast. And how cute are my boys? You can check out their Fall pajamas here.
I always struggle with decorating my fireplace and mantle. It just never comes out right but I have to say I am really happy with the way it came out this year. I actually used mostly things I already had and just shuffled it around a bit. The wreath is new and I added some bats to it myself.
I enjoy decorating the dining room because it is the one room we hardly use so everything actually stays where I put it. This year I removed some of the light blues I had in there and added some more neutral tones. Credit to my 6 year old for deciding to put the pumpkins in the bowls.
I can’t get enough of these velvet pumpkins. They have a huge variety of colors and sizes to fit any decor. Personally I like to keep some pink hues in my kitchen until I break out my holiday decor. I also just picked up that three tiered stand for my kitchen and I am obsessed with it! I usually leave marshmallows out on the counter since my older son loves hot chocolate and I happened to find some cute pumpkin ones the other day.
Finally in my foyer, I brought out all of the pumpkins and switched out my pink cherry blossoms for some more neutral ones.
Do you decorate for Fall or Halloween? I tend to do more Fall stuff but will probably add more Halloween now that the boy are getting older to make it more fun for them. You can check out all of my Fall content here.
