Getting my eyebrows microbladed was something I wanted to do for such a long time since my eyebrows are extremely small and require a lot of time to put on. Every morning I have to spend time outlining them with a pencil and shading them in with a powder so they look natural. With two small kids now time is not something I have a lot of and saving even 5 minutes every morning would be a huge win for me. So I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. The person I chose to go to came highly recommended from my Dysport injector and I followed her on Instagram for a long time so I saw how awesome her work was.
The Process
The first thing she did was draw out where she would be microblading inside of. We perfected it a couple of times to make sure it was 100% symmetrical and that the shape was appropriate for my face and similar to how I usually fill them in myself.
Once that was done I lied down on a table under a bright light. I am not going to lie it hurt pretty bad but it could just be me because I know others who have said they barely felt anything. However it was completely worth it because I could not believe how amazing they looked even right after. I was so surprised how fast the process was. I think I was in the salon for a total of 90 minutes (she did both microblading and shading on me so I could achieve the most natural look). And voila these are pictures right after…..
After Care
I experienced no redness or pain after the process was over. The hardest part was not getting them wet for a week after which meant that I couldn’t wash my face and had to use makeup removal wipes. They did peel about 10 days after and I received a balm to apply to them a few times a day. It took about 3 weeks for them to lighten up and look a bit more natural (they are dark right after but not nearly as dark as I was expecting.)
I went back 6 weeks later for a touchup which took only about 30 minutes. This is how they look now about 10 weeks after having them first done.
Amazing right? It is honestly one of the best things I have ever done. They are absolutely perfect and I now can get myself ready so much quicker in the morning. I know I will have to go for touchups every 12-18 months but I do not care. It is so worth it and I don’t think I will ever go without them again.
