It is no secret I have caught the decorating bug lately. It all started with ordering new living room furniture, and it just spiraled from there. I have been picking up new décor like crazy and I instantly fell in love with this console table. I had a $1,500 one on order from Pottery Barn but as soon as I came across this one from World Market I canceled it right away. The quality is amazing and it is just under $330!
As much as I do enjoy decorating, it doesn’t come very naturally to me so I find that I am better off keeping things simple. Below are my tips to easily style any console table.
Console Table: World Market | Lamps: World Market | Coffee Table Books: Amazon here, here, and here| Vase: Home Goods (but love this one) | Owl: old from Pier 1 | Basket : Target | Throw : Pier 1
Here are 5 steps I followed when styling this table:
- Keep it simple. I aimed for a clean, fresh look. Too many accessories would of made it looked cluttered so I went with a less it more approach.
- Add different textures. The blanket softens up the look of the wire basket and adds a cozy feel, it also helps keep things visually appealing
- Keep it neutral. I tried to keep most of the décor neutral but added some subtle pops of color with the vase and coffee table books.
- Use different heights. I put tall lamps on the ends and used coffee table books under frames to add different heights and keep things aesthetically pleasing.
- Play around with things. You can look for inspo all over the internet but when it comes to how things are going to look in your home you have to play with things and move them around until they look just right to you.
