Newborn Favorites

In honor of my little baby boy turning one next week I wanted to share with you some tried and true baby products that I just love. Some were new this time around and some I used with my older son too.

1. The MAM pacifiers are awesome. Both my sons really loved them and they come in a variety of sizes including newborn. Just a tip, around 3 months my baby stopped using it so I bumped him up to the 6+ month size and he starting taking them again. I wish I realized this with my older son who did the same thing because at almost a year the baby still loves his “ditty”.

2.   The Nuna Pipa is the best infant car seat I could of asked for.  It is super light weight at only 8 lbs.  It has this amazing full coverage canopy that keeps the sun out of the baby’s face (or nosey strangers).  It also clicks into my UppaBaby Cruz so easily with an adapter.  They do make an even lighter version but it does not have this canopy so that’s why I chose this one.

3.  The Boppy is such a great product and you will probably use it the entire first year.  From feeding your newborn, using it to prop up your infant (big help for reflux babies after they eat), to putting it behind your new sitter for extra insurance in case they fall back.  The covers wash up like a dream too.

4.  The L’ovedbaby Organic Cotton Overalls are such great sleepers.  They come in a variety of colors and are SO soft.  I love that you can buy the matching hat too.  I brought this to the hospital for him to wear and purchased a ton more over the past few months.

5. I spent hours researching the perfect double stroller before I had the baby last year and the Bumbleride Indie Twin has been amazing.  I knew I wanted to side by side instead of a front to back (both have their advantages and disadvantages).  Both my now 3 1/2 year old and the baby are so comfortable in it.  It is easy to maneuver, has a huge basket, and is easy to fold.  (It’s heavy but they all are).  It is honestly the only double stroller you will need.  We use it to go shopping, walks/jogs, on vacation, etc.  I highly recommend it!

6.  Cue the comments.  I never had a desire to breastfeed and never even wanted to try.  I stocked up on bottles during pregnancy since I knew I would be formula feeding and both times both babies chose these Dr. Browns bottles.  Yes they have a lot of parts that need to be cleaned but they do not leak, and I really think they helped with the baby’s colic and reflux.

7.  Mustela products are a personal favorite of mine, I just love the way they smell.  I use the shampoo, cleanser, lotion, and face wipes.  This body lotion is so hydrating and keeps baby’s skin super soft.

8.  Aden + Anais swaddles are hands down the #1 thing I recommend (not sure why I made it 8 lol).  We have like 20 of them and they get so much use.  As a swaddle, blanket, to put on the floor to lay baby on, cover the infant carrier, etc.  My 3 1/2 year old sleeps with 4 of these in his bed every night, he loves his blankies.

9.  When your baby doesn’t want to be swaddled anymore the HALO Sleepsack is a dream.  I always follow all safe sleep recommendations which includes nothing in the crib until after 1.  This provides such a great extra layer over baby to keep them cozy.  I usually transition out of these around 2 when I know a blanket will actually stay somewhat on them at night.

10.  The Nosefrida does just what is says, its a snot sucker (glamorous right?). I was gifted it with my older son and wow is it amazing.  If your a mom you know those little things they give you in the hospital do nothing.  When your baby or little one is sick all you need to do is spray some saline solution, then use this, and it clears everything right up for them so they can breathe better. This works unbelievably well, every mom needs it.

xoxo
